(BMI) calculator and interpretation
How do we know the ideal weight based on height?
Ideal Weight Based on Height
The ideal weight for a person is related to several factors, including age, gender, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, etc.
To determine an individual's ideal weight, height and weight must be calculated together using the BMI equation, either manually or using an ideal weight-by-height calculator available in several applications.
It is worth noting that the ideal BMI for a man is 22, while the ideal BMI for a woman is 21.
How to Calculate Ideal Weight Based on Height
To determine the ideal weight based on height, the BMI is calculated according to the following equation:
Body Mass Index = Weight in kilograms / (Height in meters x Height in meters)
You can use this tool to determine your BMI.

A BMI between 18.5 and 25 indicates an individual's ideal weight.
A BMI below 18.5 indicates underweight.
A BMI between 25 and 29.9 indicates mild obesity.
A BMI above 40 indicates morbid obesity.
Note: These calculations do not apply to athletes.
